Update......(Humboldt County Childrens Photographer)

Makenzie's latest test came with some good news- her platelets are up to 40,000!! We are so thrilled to see some positive results. We still have a long way to go to get to 250,000 but this is the direction we want to head in. The doctor is letting us have the rest of the week off from blood draws and Makenzie is thrilled with that. We don't have to go back until right after Christmas! I couldn't have asked for a better present for her. She is milking this whole situation for all it's worth. She is not backing down on this whole puppy thing. I even heard some talk of a real pony as well! Brian and I are a little hesitant about the whole dog thing. Last year Santa brought the cutest tiny pup for Kenzie and she fell instantly in love. Well, we didn't know it but Lola was born with some liver abnormalities and ending up passing away a week later. After 2 traumatized kids and a vet bill that would make your eyes roll back in your head, we are just not sure that we are ready to try again. Makenzie put a puppy on her list last year and Santa delivered, and yes, a puppy is on the list again this year so does that mean Santa is going to deliver again??? I would do anything to make Kenzie happy right now and help her through this unfair time but a new puppy is also adding a lot of work to an already stressful time in my life. I am just worried that as emotionally unstable as I am right now, I will completely loose it after cleaning up puppy poo all day long! After every traumatizing blood draw, I see Brian closer and closer to giving in to her so I have a feeling that it is inevitable. Please continue to send positive vibes our way.......the last ones you sent worked wonders for us.
